League of Leaders!
The League of Leaders:
A Clan of Strategy gamers, those who'd rather use their intellect to simulate world conquests, be it by hostile financial takeovers, resource monopolization, military occupation, populace control or enemy manipulation! The strategies are many, and the general player traits as well. Every member receives a member card, informing other members about their general traits and preferred strategies (Attention: Strategy names in the card and their description do not reveal what the player will be doing in their online strategy games, they rather give you the general idea of what type of strategist he is). The clan is meant for both RTS (Real Time Strategy) and TBS (Turn Based Strategy) gamers, and not fans! Watching your mates play Warcraft3 and managing to get to half a campaign mode of Settlers, does not make you a gamer! You should at least have passed a few games' campaigns and single player events before applying to the clan!
Game Examples:
TBS:
Worms Series (Mostly military TBS)
Civilizations Series
Rome Total War
Medieval Total War
Medieval 2 Total War
RTS:
Starcraft Series
Warcraft Series
Settlers Series
Age of Empires Series
Command and Conquer Series
Clan Ranks
Master Strategist (Creator of the Clan) (Mortis D. Noctem)
Settler (New and development based player)
Warrior (New and aggressive player)
Nobleman (Experienced and construction based player)
Regent (Experienced and citizen based player)
Scientist (Experienced and tech based player)
Treasurer (Experienced and finance based player)
Gatherer (Experienced and resource based player)
Commander (Experienced and soldier based player)
Barbarian (Experience and pillaging based player)
Dictator (Special title, granted when certain specifications are met)
Hero (Special title, granted when certain specifications are met)
Member Cards:
Card Titles:
Strong Suits:
Financial (This player is always on the top of the list when it comes to money/gold/thallers/major resource score, he plays the game by using his tremendous amount of wealth in order to obtain other resources to which he would rather not go chasing after, to buy out players/units to betray their own friends, to have a incredibly fast army and tech growth, the only problem is the time it takes a huge amount of time to get this kind of wealth.)
Resourceful (This player likes to cover all possible resources for his own, he will spend most of the early-game looking for the general resources and how to best exploit them! With this amount of resources the player has a different form of currency, he can have an self-sustaining country, rather then relaying on trades and money)
Stealth (This player likes to stay low, let all the others fight, make sure he's not detected and, after everybody's wounded and fragile, he leaps out of nowhere with the army he has been secretly developing and wipes out the remains of the kingdoms around him, the problem? remaining hidden may be a problem, especially when you have to hunt for resources)
Construction (This player makes some big cities! He tears down all tress, wipes out all mines and makes cities so big and so well guarded by walls and towers that its hard as hell to conquer them. By the time the enemy reaches the town center, the player has already re-built his army! The major problem here is that constructing and repairing all these buildings consumes every resource in the game and takes an incredible amount of time)
Research (This player likes to have any and all technologies researched, keeping his troops, buildings and workers modernized! He enjoys all the full benefits of a late game and unlocks all possible options, the problems? Once again, time is a problem, since research costs turns/minutes, and not to mention the resources that end up going into research)
Populace (This player likes his work force, in fact he has tons of these cheap and reliable workers running around doing his every bidding! Are they unhappy? Hell no! This player has the biggest work force in the game, he keeps them happy and well fed and they work 24/7 for him! Everything happens super fast and super cheap for this gamer. The problems? Workers are usually weak the player's city is basically a free meal for bandits and warlords if he has no allies.)
Military (This player invest every single resource and every single second into building army and soldiers, it is the only method he knows to conquer other players! Every little gold coin goes into soldier research and hiring, every little tree becomes several bows and arrows, every block of steel becomes a sword or an axe and every single brick belongs in a barracks! The major problem? Building armies or either costs time (one/two barracks) or money (Several barracks), and there are other problems as well, the populace does not enjoy being ignored and seldom the economy ends up stopping)
Burglarizing (This player's mentality is "Who needs to gather resources or gold, while I can let idiots do it for me", this type of player has the best success rate during the early game, he doesn't even bother to search for resources, he'd rather search for your base while you have no military units! He quickly builds some low/mid units to chase off your workers and take your base for his own, this works fine and dandy for the early part of the game, but you end up with a serious resource problem once you hit mid game, so you better finish your enemies off fast! Don't let any villager escape!)
Rapid Player (The name says it all, this dude doesn't waste any time, he has everything pre-planned before even entering a server! He knows exactly how much he needs of anything to finish the game in 5 minutes! Problem: if he encounters a irregular player, somebody he's not used too, his whole strategy goes down the drain!)
Weakness:
Big Spender (This player has a serious money problem, while researching/building for/an/a army/work force/protective buildings/general buildings he tends to run out of money/gold/coins/thallers, doesn't necessarily have to ruin his game, just forces him to chose a different approach)
Spotted (This player can't stay hidden if his life depended on it, he sometimes leaves scattered troops/workers/buildings here and there, that may point out his location. However this only means that the player is working hard on something else, and that might be enough to gain a victory)
Lowball (This player has a problem with construction, he scatters small/medium buildings leaving no space for mid-game/late-game buildings, maybe he won't need them and might win with the stuff he already has)
Low Tech (This player generally forget to develop technologies, he just builds a sufficient/mediocre work force/army and tends to play on with that, maybe he can compensate by building a massive army with the money he isn't wasting on tech and research)
Slave Driver (The populace is rarely happy with this player, he is the type of person that considers a <=50% ratio of population happiness a good enough rate to start forcing them to work! This leads to a great temporary economy, but maybe thats all the player needs)
Deserted (This player tends to lack workers/gatherers to do his bidding! You'll see him attempting to build mines and gathering resources with <=5 worker units, most of the time he'd just rather leave it in auto-assignment, but you can't do that in online play or in some Strategy games! But maybe he can compensate with a fast game, rather then wasting a large amount of time with the gathering of resources)
Time Taker (This player needs to stay hidden! It is vital for him, since he can't really start playing until mid-game/late-game, if the enemy manages find him during early-game he is doomed!)
Warning: This doesn't mean that you can't compensate for your weaknesses! Any good strategy player knows he should!
Types of Combat:
O = Offensive
CO = Counter Offensive (usually resists well an enemy offense and then quickly attacks)
D = Defensive
T = Tricky (usually uses skills and tricks to reverse a situation)
Strategies (Ask me if you need to understand any of these):
Market Domination
Internal Development
Scout and Spy
Massive Army
Trade Routes
Guerrilla Attacks
Walls and Towers
Pillaging
Slavery
Benevolence
Cultural Domination
Military Domination
Popularity Domination
Expansion
Psyche Out
