This isn't going to work

Too many people are making clans and nobody is going to join; we should probably just take everybody who is making a clan and put them all together into one clan.

I agree *Nods at dspa01*, mainly the only people who hadn't created a clan are the one that are never on. We should all work together to creat a super clan with parts that we want in it. It won't be what we have in mind, but forum cloud will get a new clan and are clan will get 100 coins.

I am happy to hear you have found this initiative, I urge you to take this step.

Yeah, we can try to join Firefly, Static, Mortis, you, and I together to create a clan and then vote for a leader.

Well my clan is organized and actually has some distinction to it. All other clans, at least that I've seen, can only be distinguished from one and the other by there names..
Mine has some personal characteristics (exclusive to RTS/TBS gamers) and Clan ID Cards. I wouldn't mind joining in other clans but I have gone through a bit of work organizing mine.
Example: In there essence, what makes the Knights of the Pentagon clan different from the Dry Steel Clan, nothing! No distinctive features, requirements, etc. I believe that that is also a main problem, we should make more specific clans! Ex: If you were part of the most ancient members of Forum Cloud join the "Ancient Clouds" clan, or even for internal Cloud organizations, like vigilante members (we will be having a member based vigilante service once we hit a larger amount of members, some of you may know about the Spore Squad from xSpore, it will follow that style, basically hunting down bad posts and reporting them to me or other mods.) But getting back to the subject at hand! I just think that people need to make something that will show members why they should join a certain clan (FPS Clan, Original Cloud Clan, RTS/TBS Clan, etc.).
Because, honestly, just saying: "We're a group of people" isn't motivational at all!

True Mortis, and in a new clan we could have those ideas if people approve. If they do you could be in charge of making them and assigning the cards to people.

I don't want MDN as leader for one reason: 80% of what he tries to do does not work, has no chance whatsoever of working, or is jsut politicial propaganda.
Also, dispite you complaining about clans being "groups of people", they dont have to like the same games ffs! I'm a member of 3 clans on steam, one is FPS, one is CSS and Gmod, and one is jsut a general all round clan. Guess which is the msot popular and fun to be in? The all round clan! Just random people come together and talk. FUN, HARDLY ORGANISED, FREEDOM. The problem I find with you MDN is you think everything has to be organised and morally correct.
I want a leader who can organise things, but doesn't want to know everything about the members at every second. That's what I would think you are as a leader MDN. In truth, though it sound harsh, you are a communist.

You want equal rights, and you want everyone to be organised and sensible like yourself, as well as everyone having equal rights. It DOES NOT WORK, you have seen communism in action, and there will always be Facism, no matter how hard you try. Also, I wouldn't like to be equal with a noob who posts once a year, and that says PIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIEPIE.
As for the cards idea, I don't like the graphics =P Sounds curddy to me, seeing as there is already a character sheet.

I want organized and rules! That's true, but newcomers are inferior to veterans! Bashers, Spamers and Flamers get banned in the face at first offense! There is a scale of hierarchy, actually my governmental strategy is more of a Bureaucratic rather then Socialist/Communist, I demand forms, approvals and general requirements, not equalizing everyone, since it functions as a hierarchy (with me on the highest ranks) and the more veteran ones, or one's who have proved moist useful to my ideology of a perfect member get more respect and achieve higher ranks as well, however if a member where to enter the clan and initiate to spam or bash, he would be banned at once, if he would not do something productive to my ideology or the forum's ideology, then he would not be considered a respectful member, and his opinions would not even be considered as meaningful, so No! I don't hold everyone on equal account!

Bleh, I've TRIED being optmistic, I can't do it. I base things on facts, not luck, and in truth, optimism relies on luck.

LISTEN! With the new 200 gold offer, I think we should. Though, I don't want MDN as leader. Here is what I propose we do.

Each player who is going to be part of the clan picks a clan name. Then, after everyone has submitted, each member can vote for their favourite name and who they want as leader, but they CANNOT vote for themselves.

What do you guys think?

I'd join fo' sho' I got a few names I could give, if we are going to be a persific clan (like mortis' clan the RTS one) then I could give a few ideas. Also the member who is the leader should have to give at least one other member a high rank, just to help out.

I don't think a specific clan would go too well. I mean, I'm into RTS and TBS, but mainly FPS, and general Serious Roleplay... I think a general-all-round clan would be the clan.
